How it happened:

"We were at a roaring 20's NYE party, and after our new year's kiss, he got down on one knee in front of about 200 people. Then we got pulled up on stage and congratulated in front of the whole ballroom. This is actually way more special to me than it would have been otherwise, as my sister passed away the week before thanksgiving. Now my family has something to look forward to this coming year. It was the perfect way to start 2019!"
